Providing opportunities to develop real-world employment skills, our Op Shops and Grounds Maintenance program are run as commercial operations, which put any profits directly back into the services we offer.
Our Casino Community Garden is supported by community groups and volunteers and builds community, while growing produce that’s donated to local welfare agencies.
As well as developing valuable employment skills, our schemes provide essential community building and peer support opportunities. Secondary community-building and benefit is achieved through the contribution of the amazing volunteers, who mentor and assist our supported employees.
All our supported employees are paid a wage under the Supported Employment Services Award 2017. This enables them to participate more fully in the community, being able to pay for food, activities, transport and entertainment which they would otherwise be unable to afford.
