Meet Sidney

Meet Sidney! Before starting his journey as a dedicated Support Worker at Momentum Collective, his life consisted of all things art and fashion. Alongside his artistic pursuits, Sidney also cared for his partner, who bravely battled cancer. Through this experience, he gained valuable insights into the health industry.

After contemplating his career path and despite lacking formal training or certificates in disability support, Sidney took a leap of faith and decided to explore opportunities in the health field.

“I knew nothing about the care industry apart from my first-hand experience looking after my mother and partner. The traineeship program was the introduction I needed at the time to feel confident about going into disability support work”, said Sidney.

We’re thrilled to announce that Sidney has recently been appointed as Empower’s new disability Coordinator.
