To celebrate a significant milestone, Momentum Collective warmly invited the entire community to partake in a day of festivities on Wednesday, October 11, 2023. The day began with an official Welcome to Country, guided tours of the newly refurbished Oak Centre, live musical performance, and open donations for the community.
The Oak Centre’s refurbishment unveiled several noteworthy improvements, each carefully designed to enhance the community’s experience. These included the creation of an accessible bathroom, installing security fencing and cameras to bolster safety, and establishing a yarning circle and basketball court. These enhancements breathe new life into the Oak Centre, creating an inviting and secure space that continues to serve the Casino community.
Fiona Miller, Richmond Valley Service Manager at Momentum Collective, shared her enthusiasm for the Oak Centre’s grand re-opening. She expressed, “It was great to see over 100 community members at the Oak Centre again. We eagerly anticipate the collaborative opportunities that lie ahead as we cater to the diverse needs of our community.”
Momentum Collective extends its sincere gratitude to the Casino Golf Club for their generous monetary donation. We are deeply appreciative, and we’d also like to express our heartfelt thanks to all those who supported the successful re-launch of the Oak Centre. We look forward to future community events at our Oak Centre.
